I agree with the above posters, pay attention to what the instructors tell you and you'll be fine. I was there in Feb. and did the course and it was not a big deal. I volunteered to be first ( I hate waiting, it makes me more nervous!) and had the instructor run me through it and asked a lot of questions. Good luck to you.

Passed my USA course this morning with an 85!!! It was so much easier than the one at C1! No 90 degree backing this time and there is a lot more room for turns. I'm just relieved it's over. Orientation is boring but at least they warned us it would be. lol We have a huge class. 70 in our class and then they have another class for experienced drivers that's pretty large too. Hoping to get out with a trainer by friday.:biggrin_25526:

Hi- noticed u guys graduated from C1- My husband and I did also- back in Oct 08. Just kinda wondering what teachers are still out on the yard? They were kinda all talking about leaving when we were there and just wondered who was still there I would remember...... Robert was a HOOT- so was RICK- and Jeff was our driver teacher.
My husband and I might be going to the orientation for USA next week...
several people from our class went there and we still talk to one of the guys.... maybe we will get a chance to see them--
Let me know if you get a chance who the teachers are now--thanx

I was there in Feb. 09. Jeff still runs the yard. Hes a trip. They brought a girl named Terri in while I was there to help Jeff. She was really good. Had alot of experence and help you out with any problems you were having. Im not good with names, but I think it was Rick that did the log book class. Peggy was my driving instructor.

For the record, since Tragic already passed, if you ask for more practice time with your trainer, they'll usually give it to you (at AR) as long as no one else is there. Offically I think they frown on it, but usually you see a bunch of guys circling the barrels and backing. Which is sort of like what you'll encounter in a truck stop/customer yard.
