UPS Freight driver here, wondering what y'all make working for Wally World?

Is there a pay progression? Many ups freight terminals have it... but up here in new england they got so desperate for drivers they basically start us at top rate...

28 bucks an hour up here in the northeast, but our linehaul drivers make 72cpm driving thru the nite... so that's what the brown clown pays us.

What is walmart paying you per mile up here in the "evil, terrible, awful avoid-at-all-costs-oh-so-scary" northeast? none of the other threads mention the actual #s

I cannot imagine the NE having enough space to actually use a sleeper every day.

On a normal day, you'll average anywhere between .75 and 1.00 per mile if you figure activities. Like everyone has said before, we do very well over here.

it's precisely that lack of space, and resulting congestion, which will run out your clock and force you to use that sleeper maybe just 65 miles from home.

I've had weekends back when I lived around New London, Connecticut (halfway between the RI and the NY borders) I'd run outta hours friday coming up I95 from the Tappan Zee or GWB... I'd run outta hours in New Haven. call a friend or my dad to come get me... stash the truck at one of the overcrowded truck stops... then get a ride back sunday...

added note: and nb4 you say, "fck that imma just get home and be with my family for my weekend after a 60 hour week of work" keep in mind CT weigh station are STRICT and have an ATTITUDE. so that's a ticket waiting to happen. they don't care about you being with friends and family. the law is the law and takes prisoners like a syrian ISIS fighter.

Walmart’s pay is a secret and these guys could lose their jobs by positing it. Especially if someone got mad and reported this back to walmart office. I would say look around it’s been posted many times what the pay is and what programs you’ll make the most money on. Not only that, but what you would most likely get being a new driver coming into walmart transportation.
