People dont park by reefers, reefers park by people.. regardless of flatbeds, tankers, drybulk, or drybox, always a reefer backing beside that is set to run continuous

This is why when I knew I was not going to need to leave early I pulled into parking. Something I did very rarely. Just tried to keep my reefer as far as I could. Because my company had so much junk it was hard to not bother other drivers.

I have seen pictures of people parking off by themselves over the holidays last year. Completely empty lot, all the room in the world. Then out of no where in the middle of the night he gets two reefers on both sides adjacent spots. Only 3 trucks in the whole lot. LOLJust passing by, starmac, D.Tibbitt and 2 others Thank this.

Usually because the load demands it. Dough would be the worst variety, followed by ice cream. If you allow the temperature to start increasing then that's it. Reefers maintain temperature but do not have very much ability to refreeze warm product back to setpoint.
Your description of human behavior is really spot on.
Now where possible we are in a corner far from anyone. However most days or nights we end up being surrounded by people desperate for a spot. Even if they have to sit next to a howler.
Two reefers make it stereo. Four to Eight makes it a Digital track... //fun tease... -
