    Is the bpv serviceable?

I ask because I hate to drop several hundred dollars on a new bpv when all that is wrong is a broken spring. No codes.

Truck gets along, though it sounds like it's working harder but seems to have a slight power loss. I'm also not getting the residual power/boost between shifts (lags when getting back onto the throttle) and I am hearing the MX boost farts much more often. I suspected a boost leak but the only thing I've seen is the spring on the BPV shaft is broken...this is assuming I'm looking at the right thing, its the actuator/valve on the exhaust side, just behind the turbo.

I have no boost gauge right now so I can't verify a boost leak or derate. I have watched this valve dance during an unload (1000rpm with engine warm) so I'm assuming it has an effect on boost control. I'm mechanically inclined but diesel engines are not my forte.

    Truck is a 14 T660.

Thoughts? Am I even in the correct forum?

Thank you, thank you! I've been looking for about 6 hours for that! The internet is great when you're not searching for something important I guess, LOL.

I asked one of our shop techs about it as I was leaving today and got a funny look, that was my first "oh no" moment. I was reluctant to call the dealership thinking they would try to sell me the whole valve, or bring it in for a warranty repair and then tell me it isn't covered).

Doing my PM next weekend, gonna try to limp it through the week, if I can stand it.

    Thank you much!

Just an F.Y.I., they will not or at least six months ago when I tried they will not sell the rod(lever). Needle bearing took a crap and only service option was new BPV.
