I was talking with one of truckers from our company and he said that all new trucks will be coming out without emission system/particulate filter.
Is there any truth to this or just hearsay.

Not unless they are Glider kit trucks. I can't imagine anyone would buy a new emissions truck then delete it and void the warranty.
-
BS most likely. Might see EGR go bye bye because SCR technology has started making it obsolete.

I can see that possible someday soon.
Mahindra tractors aren’t using dpf to meet emissions. Technology will soon get rid of that nonsense system
blairandgretchen, 201 and AModelCat Thank this. -
Ultimately, the EPA isn't forcing any manufacturer to use a DOC/DPF or EGR/SCR. If they can meet the targets without it, the don't need it. That's why CAT never used EGR on their Acerts.blairandgretchen, p608, pushbroom and 2 others Thank this. -
Kind of like when the cat convertor came out. Carburetors with smog pumps. Fuel injection comes out and the smog pump goes bye bye.
AModelCat and Chubby Fly Thank this. -

Curious as to how some low powered engine can come out with no dpf while others can't.
