My C15 in my 379 needed serviced so I took a 386 mid-roof with a 500 S60 Detroit with an 18 speed. What a difference lol in most cases I never have to run my C15 over 1,600 rpms grossing 80k through PA hills. This Detroit will die if I run it under that and I'm only grossing 74k. Not to mention it takes forever to drop rpms to get it in the next gear. Now I know why guys shift with the jake lol. I've never used my 4 ways as much as I have on this trip. I can't wait to have my kitty cat back

If you need quick shifts coming from a stop going up hill,
Use the fan override switch instead

Crude Truckin' and Dave1837 Thank this.

If you need it really really quick just use the fan and the Jake break !
