Rand McNally ELD 50 questions

If your phone works an there is an update- do not do it. The same same is true with your computer and your ELD device.

If it's not broken, do not fix it.

 

Uninstall app from your phone, device etc. Throw RM50 under drives of your truck, run back and forth several times. Repeat if necessary.

overdryve 8 paired with eld50. I want to set eld50 back to factory settings.
I have both driver portal and admin login capabilities.

 

Yes I’m having a big problem. When I start driving it doesn’t register till sometimes 20-40 min going down the rd. Then when I stop it basically takes the same amount of time to let get off the lock screen so I can change my duty status

 

The ELD50 is just a dongle. It doesn't have a lock screen. What do you have that you use as a interface to it?

Also, while Mark is no longer here, there are a lot of good people that may be able to help.

I don't have much experience with RM's products, and hopefully someone else can give better advice..

I'd download the driver connect app to your phone and pair it with the dongle. This will at least let you know which component is causing the problems.

 

Yeah I do have it on my phone the only reason I use the tablet is because it records IFTA miles for me. But I’ll try it on my phone in the morning I’ll be going a short distance so I’ll be able to see if the phone works right away. Thank you for your reply
