    Owner Operator Question :

I’m an owner operator doing team LTL. Next year I should be done with my lease and we are looking to see what trucks are highly recommended.
We pull up to 32k , all terrains . Which truck is the best in comfort ride , pulling and reliability ? I’m not looking at VOLVO because even though they are great in comfort , they still have too many issues I don’t want to deal with .
    All input is greatly appreciated.

I understand your concerns about Volvos with the past injector/cup issue but if you are buying new I would look closely at the Volvo.
I know of current O/Os quite pleased with the redesigned engine and it's hard to beat the Volvo for ride and comfort.
I would also consider the turbo compounding option.

Paccar is a good motor but maintenance cost is a little higher because you have to buy their filters. It's very basic and easy to work on. You have to have a 2010 truck or newer to go into CA so I would suggest a Kenworth t680 or Pete 579. Good trucks and very comfortable. Just stay away from the auto tranny. They have been having a lot of issues with them. If you can find one with a Cummins go for that. With the paccar your are limited to who can work on them. That's the only downfall.
