Hazmat tanker pays well and it's easy
kemosabi49 Thanks this. -
Tank and hazmat def in the oilfields

Maybe, maybe not ... Talked to a fuel hauler down on Texas ... He was home every weekend ... But only pulling $700 a week
-
It's been debatable that fuel hauling is different than hazmat...it is a placarded, hazardous load but companies don't think it compares to hauling materials such as acid or explosives. I think it's the common-ness of gasoline tankers that makes them pay less, but that's just my opinion18 wheels of fury Thanks this.

Hazmat, but food grade will be more consistent
-
I think that gas tanker pay is a reflection of local economics, most tanker companies run a majority of their miles inside a 200-300 mile radius so their operating costs, including driver pay, is reflected in their freight rates for that area. What you think is crap wages might be just fine for someone else

Food grade normally won't pay nearly as good as chemicals.
