wouldn't recommend any mega carrier, in general, there are some smaller companies to get your experience like road construction they pay hourly and normally your home every day and on a rare occasion, you stay in a hotel and not a motel something that has breakfast and not gonna catch something from sleeping from there beds. most major cities Dallas and even smaller towns sometimes there also coke, Pepsi you could haul for just to get experience and if you live in an oil field area some will take fresh CDL drivers even. I have seen a representative from Halliburton at say steven transport recruit for their company this was back in 2014 am certain there more them.

I "live in Minneapolis". I haven't been home since August and i lost my place because i could no longer afford it so i have the ability to go anywhere and i don't care for the Midwest (or east) anyway. Miles or pay? I don't know. I'm used to being paid (supposedly) per mile. I honestly just want to make a living wage. I've lost the few possessions i had but i love trucking and i was told the first year would be hard. I need a change. I work too hard to make peanuts.

If you have a year with a clean record, check our jobs section.

Just by researching things, i really believe that the clinic Schneider sent me to tells most drivers that they need a sleep study even if they don't (like me). I believe now that there are kick backs. I really don't want to go down that apnea road even though i don't have it. It sounds like an issue for the rest of my driving career and i don't want to mess around with it. I'll have to always list on my application that I've been told that i need a sleep study. It's an unnecessary inconvenience. I didn't send my dmv my temp dot card yet. Can't i just go to a non-schneider clinic and have them properly assess me? Or is it too late and in the system?

When i first started. Nothing since then. And new York Gabe me a citation for not stopping for inspection station. The lights weren't flashing so i know that shouldn't count but its on my record...
