Personally, I wouldn't get out of bed for $1.60 per mile

I would think you may be able to find one from time to time depending on the location but most likely not keep the same one for any prolonged period of time.

    That's low.
From the description of what you're asking you sound like a broker ?
Are you providing anything besides the load and a buck sixty ? Like, fuel reimbursement, cash toward insurance, truck maintenance, providing a trailer ?

I second this. The rate isn't the only reimbursement carriers offer.

Are you a broker or carrier? If carrier, who would be paying for insurance and trailer? What kind of work? Equipment? Schedule? Operation area?

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

It depends on where you are, and what the spot prices are in the lanes you're looking to cover. If an O/O can get brokered loads at that much or more for the same area, then no you probably won't find anybody. If you have a dedicated run and can guarantee that rate for a specific period of time, and if an O/O has fairly low overhead, then maybe.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

    Let’s negotiate -

Guarantee me 1250 miles @ $3.20/mile and I’ll strongly consider it.
