I will be a new grad in the next couple of months. I have an opportunity to work intermodal for a chem company doing ISO intermodal. Do you think that this experience will be good to get an intermodal job up in Seattle with non tanker intermodal working for Comtrak????

Any Comtrak drivers in Wisconsin that run into Chicago railyards out there ? I,ve been pulling containers since 09, as a co. driver. I,m woreout from driving co. junk, breaking down nearly everyweek, etc. The 1st of the year I,m thinking about buying a truck and putting it to work at comtrak. There,s a ton of intermodal loads in Wi., I would agree the railyards never have a slow season in Chicago at least. Comtrak has a 3rd party leasing co. in Chicago, called house of trucks.I,ve heard there prices are high, but no money down is bonus.

Sounds like there's more to this little story than you are telling. What had you done in the past that actually made COMTRAK, not com track, not want YOU, lol. Do tell cause you obviously know nothing true about the company.

I will say I am not very impressed with Hub Group as a broker. They try just about anything to keep from paying detention pay. When I booked the load they said easy on easy off then when I get loaded they tell me that the delivery may take about 6 hours to get unloaded. It took 6.5 hours then they keep trying all kinds of crap from paying it. First load I did for them it has been about 60 days now and still not paid.

Well cant speak for the brokerage side then of the house.but for as comtrak noy bad.
buckmanmike Thanks this.
