    One thing you may want to consider, is when you separate from this company you may have some sort of legal claim. You could speak with an attorney, I would encourage that first and foremost. 49 CFR § 376.12 and it's subsections outline what the lease must state and things like deductions to be listed in the lease, etc. There are cases currently being heard or waiting to be heard regarding lease purchase, as well as "forced" charges, such as for ELD service. If this company doesn't allow owner operators to come on with their own trucks and the ONLY way to become an "owner operator" with them is to "lease" a truck from them it could be a violation. Again, I would speak to an attorney either before you enter any agreement or at termination of any agreement, should you wish to see if you may have a case.

    This is a good point, and example. They are making profit off of you at every turn. They haven't mentioned whether you can turn down a load?
    Someone mentioned escrow not being returned. You can bank on that.
    85% - 15% split. How can you possibly trust this company to give you a true rate-con?

    Update.
    So I ended up trying the company out, was given option to get a truck from Texas or flordia. Went to texas to get truck 1/29/2023
    Truck had dog hair and trash all over it.
    Fairings missing on passenger missing
    Check engine, stability, abs light was on
    Trailer had broken I beams, and two holes under reefer by tandems.
    Picked up load from San Antonio at 9pm Monday 1/23/23 to fresno got there Wednesday delivery wasn't until 1/26/23 Thursday at 10pm, but they got me a door at 5pm
    Never was setup with eld, but ran load anyways.
    Sat empty until was told to bring trailer to Phoenix by Monday 1/30/2023 to get fixed was told it would be .60 cpm for dropping trailer got there Sunday an waited. Was given wrong address to drop trailer.
    Sat until Tuesday 1/31/23 was told to drive to San Diego to get power only load to Laredo then to flordia was told I wouldnt be paid for this run.
    Decided to just pack it in and quit.
    Got paystub and after all deductions was negative 1600
