12.7 455hp Detroit tune help

    I have a 05' 12.7l (455hp/1550tq factory) Detroit with the egr painted bright pink, i rebuilt the engine 30k ago and have a 171702 turbo on it,
    I have it set to 455/1650
    I want to know how much i can turn it up to where i have good power and reliability as well. I want it to last
    Hp/tq you recommend?

    Please dont tell me to set it at 700hp

    Please comment, this website seems dead these days

    In a Facebook group I belong to, it seems to be the consensus on DDEC4 is 600.

    Might be able to set it to 500 1650. That was the norm, before the 14L became the new 500. Don't really know myself, as far as just changing parameters on ecm. I’d think whether it’s a Ddec 4 or 5 should be able to, without changing any hard parts.

    DDEC3, ‘95 - same turbo, I had Fernando set mine at 500/2050 I think.

    Runs fine.

    Mine is the lower grade motor without squirty nozzles.
