This is where proper form and not skipping leg-day really pays off. See, what you wanna do is brace yourself in the seat and wedge your grubby boot against that there shifter and leg press her right into gear!

We called it "The Mystery Gear", but really, no mystery about it. I read, they didn't advocate using it as to prevent reverse gear clash, but was no weaker than any other gear. It eliminated going into the low side, and I used it all the time.

It's really really nice man. Would've loved to have this rig when I was running the northwest and Rocky mountains. Some of the bigger hills I gotta watch the temps in the heat down here in the southwest. But just having all this power makes a world of difference for sure

600 hp stock . Its the 2250 isx and it breathes easy let's say. No problems down here in the southwest some of the bigger mountains Eastern az and northwest New mexico its really nice to just cruise up the hills. and don't have to drop half a gear or a whole gear to get over the smaller hills like I did with ol blue

Is that a thing on every 13 speed? It could be a handy way to save on my injured shoulder LOL

18 has it too. I was advised not to use it as its apparently weaker but lots have claimed to have used it with no adverse effects.

I believe it is. I have only ever driven Eaton 13’s.

I doubt it's weaker, it's using the low, creeper gear in your main box that you use to start in to pull a steep climb, you're just using your 2 auxiliary boxes on the high side instead of the low side.

201 and Kyle G. Thank this.

Yes its just low gear in high range.. Very useful for making turns or in stop and go traffic.. You can even split it.. I just wouldnt use it for anything other then that..

    Kyle G. Thanks this.

So I have to ask... Has anyone ever tried splitting the reverse gear in high range? What would happen if I did that? Would it send me back in time or what?
