Here’s a pic of my very first OTR delivery.

Yes it is. was stuck there for a week while Freightliner fiddled with a oil pan drain plug issue. true story -
Rented a car and went out to Antelope Island state park. winter time and everthing was covered in snow. really beautiful, hardly anyone there, just like I like it.

I’m gonna get home. After almost a month. He’s got me scheduled to deliver the ND run on Friday. Then ? 5 hours to home for my 34. Need to make it by noon on Sat. For the Post Office. Otherwise will just wait Mon. morning for it to open. Have stuff waiting to help me with work. Also would like to knock out my taxes.

Have a nice little Midland handheld CB, with external antennae waiting. That would help me with advise, and help on the job.
    Other stuff too.

I’m seriously hoping the 34’s and that ND run work out good. I’m hoping to avoid taking actual home time.

After a tough delivery yesterday. Had to clean the filter 4 times. Boss told me to make it as close to Pueblo as I could last night. I’m 30 miles short, able to run at 7am. If it weren’t for time compliance. I wouldn’t have any time. If ya can understand that.

If you’re reading this. You need to check around for Rod Serling. There is no wind blowing in North Dakota right now. I must be in the Twilight Zone.

Better check the weather forecast. Weird weather can lead to dangerous weather. Something is interfering with the wind, and it might be big and ugly.

Nobody told me about the 55mph speed limit in Ca.!
At least I saved fuel. Filled up at the State line,Nevada...I 15. Went to Van Nuys, out, to Kingman Az before fueling up. 1/4 tank left.
I didn’ Buy one ounce of Jerry’s over priced, over taxed diesel.

    Just an update...
This place is screwed up! A family business that operates as a dysfunctional family!
I won't even bother to get into everything. I've almost quit at times. Worst part is employee's attitudes. It's awful. They beg demons to come in and inhabit them.
Nobody realizes that there is so much more to life. So much to make them happy. That they don't have to focus on everything that can't make them happy.
With all that said. My truck broke. They ain't gonna fix it in Denver. I was scheduled for a new truck last month. Never showed up. Now? Boss had to get the owner involved. The owner got me a brand new Volvo! Yes! Yes! Yes! .... It's showing up on Friday.

Another good thread. It seems to me more and more how important it is to be seasoned at “life” to get ahead. Short fuse and impatience is like the old adage “you eating poison and waiting for the other guy to die”. It just doesn’t work. I think you’re doing great. Congrats on the new truck. Cheers!
