1st Day with C.R. England...

Yeah… maybe not such a great idea, huh?

 

My scariest moment was my first ever DOT inspection (Level 2),courtesy of Pennsylvania State Police when I still worked for Western Express!!lol

 

Realizing that a shipper had given me bad direction, And I had no choice had to continue down a fireroad (at best) and realizing that the likelyhood of rolling a loaded tanker was quit high. Thru the power of prayer ans a very good guardian angel eventully made it to Cima Road, and back to I15. Thought for sure I would never be seen again. No not a GPS error a driver error. Exited at Goodspring Road, went west to the Sand Plant, then leaving the sand plant wnt west should have gone east. It will eventully get you to Cima Road, but I would not even try it in my ford p/u,

 

I remember a long time ago before gps I looked at the road atlas and figured going south on US 501 from Buena Vista, VA down to Lynchburg, VA would be a good short cut (versus 81 south to Troutville) in a sleeper cab with a 53' dry van. That was a long scenic drive I never attempted again lol.

 

A lot of this is just trucking and you learn with experience. You can always bring up Google Maps and pre plan on your own.

 

I plead the 5th.
No nanny cam or consortium evidence exists.
And the statute of limitations has run out.

 

God himself was with you. VA is not the place to look for short cuts. You just gotta sit through the traffic in that place lol
