Hi hope this ok but my son went to the Prime orientation and was assigned a trainer and is off on his first trip. They left Tuesday and we heard from him every day. Now, we have not heard anything from him in since Friday night. Phone is going right to voice mail. Girlfriend hasn’t heard from him and he was checking in with her twice a day. We are all freaking out. I am so worried. This is completely not like him he is always in touch with us several times a day. Is this type of thing usual? We can’t imagine why he wouldn’t get in touch in some way.

Maybe try calling his Prime terminal and asking if they can get ahold of him for a wellness check? Or ask the last time they had contact. Wish you the best.

Thanks. We did call and they said there is no alerts on the truck or driver but they couldn’t tell us anything else. Was thinking that maybe because it is the weekend we might have more success tomorrow.

Call the company and ask to speak to their dispatcher. That person will know the status of that truck. If they say everything is normal then you're good to go.

    No it’s not. Normal.

Call this POS company and ask for a ‘wellness check’ and mention your next call will be to the authorities.

They can satellite ‘ping’ the truck, they have the ‘trainer’s cell number -

    Get answers - now.

Don't scare the people making it sounds like something crazy has happened. First unless he has Verizon for cell phone he probably don't have coverage out west in places like Nebraska and Montana and Nevada. Prime can see the truck any place in USA and Canada. They have satellite communication. Unless they switched to the new system.

He probably busy driving and sleeping. They usually run the truck 24 hours a day and sleeping in a moving truck is not very easy. Plus learning how to drive and dealing with the weather. Plus learning stuff like taking showers at truck stop. It all new and he probably busy.

Call and find out who his dispatcher is and tell them to send him a message over their computers to his truck. Have him call or send text.

Trust me they know if the truck is moving or not. It not like they send the trucks out and hope is makes is a couple days later. They can see the truck moving. They can see if the engine is going.

Call the company DIRECT. FIND a human OPERATOR. Ask for Operations Department (Dispatch) or Safety.

EXPLAIN explicit who you are looking for by full name and your blood relationship to same (Parent etc) the company will only need a few moments to find that truck via Satellite and if necessary communicate if there is no bad things happening.

That truck will be located to within plus or minus 15 feet anywhere on the face of the earth. Don't worry about that. EVERYTHING in that truck is almost sentiment tied to the same network. They know if the key is in ignition, body in seat and rolling etc. Hundreds of inputs. They also have defenses such as remote shut down etc in times of trouble.

Also if this going on more than two days, go to the bank holding the checking account of that person you are worried about, ask the banking officer (Not a basic worker) and prove that you are seeking photos of ATM withdrawals made somewhere in the Nation by this person you are seeking. If there has been any kind of activity it will be there.

What you cannot and must not do.

Go to pieces every time 24 hours pass with no word. You need to have faith that all is well.

As a driver I have checked in now and then, particularly when it's really important like being sick for example. But it is my habit to not communicate for weeks and months. Company keeps them posted more or less.

Today's technology offers no reason not to be in touch. It could be something as simple as charging the phone etc. It is a world that most people do not comprehend and all I can tell you is to hang in there. But you are going to have more of this many times this year. Get used to it.
