Yes, I bought the truck and put a significant amount of work into it myself. I replaced all the shocks, including the sleeper shocks, installed new airbags and a torsion rod under the sleeper, and changed out the air solenoid, tie rod, and drag link. I also put on new steer tires, had a full three-axle alignment done, sanded and painted the frame, upgraded the mattress, added decals, replaced lights and headlight housings, and installed a new sensor for the DPF system. On top of that, I’ve done a lot of sanding and painting on the cab and taken care of plenty of smaller things here and there. Edit: I sanded/polished chrome

I loved the one I drove, it was a '14. Very comfortable and maneuverable truck, had plenty of power too

That’s exactly what I love about this truck! The power is incredible, and I’ve really missed driving a 10-speed manual after being stuck in an automatic for several years. I’ll be pulling my first load with it this week, and I’ll let you know how it performs.

The sweet spot to downshift on the one I drove was around 1250-1300 rpms, kept it right in the power band. It was a company truck, started driving it with 490k on it and turned it in with around 705k. In those miles the issues it had were:

    Oil cooler replaced
    EGR cooler replaced
    Windshield wiper motor
Various DPF/SCR bugs, never resulting anything major
Main line from compressor blew resulting in fast air loss while driving

Keep in mind, those 200,000 some miles weren't easy miles. I hauled 80k plus through the back and state roads of Pennsylvania/West Virginia, and pretty much every week the truck would start up on Sunday night and shut down Friday morning. It had a lot of PTO and idle hours on it, and it was driven into some places that I never thought a truck should go (i.e. down a windy 1 lane road that turns to gravel and enters a cornfield where the customers tanks are). I hope yours treats you well cause I loved mine
