Thank you. Although, i don't even remember when the last time i used my handtruck---probably tuesday. You probably use the handtruck more than you actually drive. Do you think it's worth it? See what i'm sayin'?
Not putting you or the gig down; If it works for you, great. i'm just posting a question for discussion.

i'm not attacking anyone. Just, we need more detail as far as numbers, and also IS food really that good of a gig considering you can make just as much or more and not touch jack or very little.
Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Why does it really matter how much another guy/girl makes?Another Canadian driver Thanks this.

I think my 4 day weeks/3 day weekends every week. My decent benefits and 4 weeks of vacation are worth it. I'm not saying my gig isn't hard but I couldn't go to a ltl and have to same schedule and benefits with out years of seniority in if ever. I also like the schedule true day shift unlike a lot of p&d which could be 9 or 10 am start. I know I will never convince you that this is a good career and that's ok but I don't want other people that want to work be scared off by reading this forum. Your job is what you make of it.Another Canadian driver, LPjunior1970, Texas_hwy_287 and 2 others Thank this.

Ok, i forgot about the 4 day work week. NOW you might have a case......
When i was at Republic (liquor) it was a 4 day work week. Still sucked. A three day work week would still suck.Another Canadian driver and bentstrider83 Thank this. -
I say this a lot, but I "love those numbers"!!!
I'm just thinking of how much time I put in a week at my current gig and how much it would make me elsewhere. Double, even triple what I'm taking in when I'm busting it where I'm at.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
I actually like this job, but I am not always sure it's worth it.

I’m in my second year of trucking. The first year wasn’t anything to write home about but in my second year, I’m on track to earn six figures as a company driver, W-2 not 1099. I work for an LTL - OTR company.
Another Canadian driver and bentstrider83 Thank this. -
