I don't know how anyone can predict that in 1 to 2 years there might be an improvement. Is that a guesstimate just taken from previous cycles? There's so many "what ifs" at this point looking ahead for some light at the end of the tunnel is moot. It was around this time we were expecting to see overpriced trucks from Covid being turned in or repo'd, and even with so many companies going under and some just plain giving up they still say there is over capacity.

Nice diversion - I see you have no dog in this fight.

I watched YouTube videos saying the employment numbers are all garbage. Citing other numbers that contradict it. But it's YouTube so I dont really know.
My numbers, I'm making enough money to live. Not to save. Come October when open deck slows. Idk.Deere hunter, Siinman, wifi_guru and 1 other person Thank this. -
Thats the real difference. Folks are only making enough to live, not to save. That means things get sold off now instead of putting them away in storage for better times. Like @blairandgretchen posted. Everything is much higher priced and getting harder to afford. Heck Friday I just bought a simple Pollak back up light switch for a road ranger. $10 switch now for $30. Useless on a tractor trailer but Gotta have it per Dot. I’d say 95% of the guys in this area would just do without it.
stwik, Rideandrepair, ElmerFudpucker and 6 others Thank this. -
