Am I reading that correctly? He didn’t know the steel coil had come off?
mjd4277, Another Canadian driver, 4mer trucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
He got off easy.
buddyd157, Sirscrapntruckalot and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -
Well, the article says he was run off the road which was the causal factor in the coil coming off, im going to assume the best here and say he was in shock to begin with.
Obviously the coil came off, it wasnt secured properly, but if someone forces me off the road to wreck, i dont know if ill be in a clear state of mind eitherAnother Canadian driver Thanks this. -
I read it as "Knew the coil had come off - was unaware of what damage had been caused by the coil - while on the phone with emergency".kranky1, sevenmph, gentleroger and 1 other person Thank this.
-
How do we know the coil wasn’t secured properly and it wasn’t just another jury that hated truckers.
Unless I missed it the article said nothing about the state of securement.TheLoadOut, D.Tibbitt, JSanborn103 and 1 other person Thank this. -
The coil came off the trailer. If it was secured properly it wouldnt have come off
buddyd157 Thanks this. -
Probably because the deceased was not wearing his seat belt and was ejected. He would have likely survived otherwise.
-
Well if it came off and flew into traffic it’s safe to say it wasn’t secured properly lolbuddyd157 Thanks this.
-
Bet if @D.Tibbitt secured it. It would of stayed on isn't that right boulder boy
AModelCat, buddyd157, Sirscrapntruckalot and 1 other person Thank this.
