Apply for every company you want to work for. The worst they can do is say no.

No sense in settling when a better company may take a look at you and let you prove yourself.

You might try consulting an attorney to inquire about having them reduced - if you're serious about it.

You also might try a personal enhancement - commit to driving 5 under, in any vehicle you drive.

I do. It means I never have to worry about my CDL, and it doesn't fizz up my beer quite as much.

Most trucks are governed aren't they? I mean it's still possible to speed.
I have been the last year, the speed advice that is.
And yes I'm very serious. I have a lot of crap I need to get back on track with like my bills.

That response makes me think you are depending on a governed truck to keep you from speeding.

Construction zones and county roads will be your downfall

    Stormmc2 Thanks this.

Oh no I didnt mean it like that. Just every company says that there trucks are governed. I know what your talking about, my tickets are from back roads. So... yeah... i was young and dumb.

I assume that you already have your CLD. If you don't, your first hurdle will be getting into a school with your record. A good school wouldn't accept you if they didn't think they could place you with a company after graduation. If you do have your CDL still contacting a local training school might be an avenue to pursue as they might have an idea of a company that would hire you on.
Even though your tickets were in your personal vehicle if you have your CDL they will weigh pretty heavy against you getting hired. Good luck

I'll tell you what my boss said to me and every driver who got to an interview, if you have speeding tickets, that doesn't mean you have a problem with speeding but a problem with distractions and not paying attention to what's going on around you.

    tinytim and TripleSix Thank this.
