Can I break up my 34hr restart with up to 30 drive for personal convenience? If so what section is it in federal rules and regulations?
-
4000 /7 =579
579 /65 is 8.7 hours a day. Most speed limits go from 70 to 75 even 80 in some places.
You can do 4000 miles a week legally week after week for the rest of your life and never run out of hours. -
dont ever fuel pick up or deliver rookieEZ Money, loose_leafs and X-Country Thank this.
-
Can it be done in a 5 day work week?
-
Paper logs 15 min every day or every other day fuel assuming 99+% drop and hook 15 min for that. At 70-75mph you have room for those few minute tasks...
I didnt say its plausible but it IS possible old man. -
Im going to say no.
-
How do you explain to a DOT man that your average speed is 70-75 mph at all times?
I think you would end up with a logbook falsification ticket!
Any company that would expect a solo driver to turn 4k a week I would want no part of. -
So which is it
-
I would have to say no to that. I don't know where people keep coming up with line 5? If it is personal conveyance, not convenience, I know there are time limits on it. I don't think it would look too good to drive 30 hours in a CMV on your 34 hour restart.
so will somebody please explain to me this personal conveyance rule, if it exists and what exactly it is?
