Btw....Trucking doesn't pay enough for a dirt hauler op to carry 5 million insurance....
Rates in Cali are still running lower than the '07 highs.....Meaning there's still Bottom-Feeders out there running for $50/H.....

I calculated the monthly gross to cover the expenses along with the premiums....
So let's apply the same to a dump biz op....

There's no way that a single truck can consistently gross $16K a month......

The average work week is three days...At 6 hours per day.....Even at $85/H which is now considered "Greedy"...That's $1530 a week and $6120 a month.....You see where this is going?....

This particular project is for Flood Control Remediation....
It's in the middle of Summer....The river is barely flowing at a trickle...And the pilings are stored in a yard...Not anywhere near the project itself.....

    Sidetracking for a moment--

Where is the job WCP? Does the piledriving business seem to be picking up in California? -Specifically northern Cali?

Are they steel sheet pilings? or.... concrete or wood, or plastic? Is it used in the levees?

Is that in regards to registering as a "Designated Biz"?
If so..We tried back when I ran dumps....

    We can't....We're not minorities....
One of my contractors back then, was pushing for us to do so...And even though the corporation is 51% owned by my wife...We couldn't even get it as a WBE (Woman Owned Business Enterprise)...

Unless I can make $45,000 gross on this...It won't be worth it.....

So it looks like I'm back to running my lane and do biz as per usual....

    scottied67 Thanks this.

If you want to do business with them, yop. As an independent o/o, you would be a disadvantaged business because of size.

If this is a gubermint thing, then you would have to call the gubermint line. 866-705-5711
