We're not a mega and we have the same philosophy. If the wheels ain't turnin', NOBODY is earnin'. That's why we try to get everyone back on the road in 72 hours, whether in their truck, a truck towed to them, or back at the terminal in a different truck (we always keep one unit open as a spare, just in case).

You have a lot more patience than me. And either a lot more savings or a lot less bills. I'd have been headed to the house after 7 days. You must really like that company.

Gotta hand it to you for sticking it out this long. Still curious about what town your in. I could probably hang for a few days if I needed a break but this seems to be excessively long with no benefit to you

I don’t sit for free. If they don’t like let them send someone to get the truck. You can throw a cat a hit 10 trucking jobs.

    Wow,

You could possibly resign and file unemployment depending on the state, just keep your paycheck stubs so you can show you were getting paid abnormally low wages, compared to what your normally getting and they could rule in your favor that you had no choice but to quit, as well have names of shop workers and dispatchers and such that can attest to your nightmare experience.

So you just go to another job because of a little adversity? I have a hard time believing that there is any company completely absolved from instances like this.

This is more than a little adversity. And it’s affecting the drivers ability to make a fair wage through no fault of the driver. He should be getting a minimum of $300 a day salary and a nice hotel, at least the La Quinta, and $50 a day meal money until
they get him rolling. But really they should of given him the option to fly home on the company’s dime as well.

While I don't disagree, $300 a day would be nice. It ain't reality. $50 a day good stipend would also be nice. It ain't reality. LaQuinta being considered a nice hotel. It's sometimes reality. Lol. The option to fly home on the company's dime would also be nice. It ain't reality. They still gotta business to run and they're losing money as well. At keast he's getting a little breakdown pay. I've been places where I got 0 and I had to take care of everything on my own dime. I think when I was at Western, their breakdown pay was 35 bucks a day. It's probably 40 now lol. Point being, it seems like Lenny is at an overall good company. Otherwise he'd would've figure a way to get out of there by now. I just can't understand how people can have 98 percent good experiences, but when the 2 percent bad experiences occur, the whole world is about to end and its like the 98 don't even matter.
