I quit cold turkey 4 years ago, gained more weight than a water buffalo, lost 1/2 of what I have gained, but have not had a craving for over a year. Now I battle the Jelly Belly cravings, as well as ColdStone Ice Cream.

My theory on that is your taste buds come back, and there are things that are just too good.

It's funny you mention the Jelly Belly's. My favorite was Cinnamon Red Hots. And like the donuts, I'm off the candy. Well just like the smokes, what does some guy leave in my truck that used it? A whole bag of cinnamon red hots !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Through them in the garbage at the J when I fueled lol.

The red hots are good, but every once in a while my youngest brings me a bag of cinnamon gummy bears. The only issue with gummy bears is heat, they tend to melt together into a gummy blob.

$2.00 a carton when the ship's in international waters; that's been a long time ago though.
I tried the Indian reservation prices which are really cheap and also the roll-your-own which was cheap also. I quit a long time ago which was difficult after being used to 3 packs a day.

I bought smokes in just one place, Kings Mountain off the 105 I think. I usually check the cartons (Plural) to make sure there is the tax stamp on all of them. You are allowed up to 299 legal cartons purchased provided you have kept the reciept for them.

I go through 6 cartons of marboro 100's reds each month until I quit in 1998. I think they were around 17.00 a carton back then.

Quitting was probably the best thing I ever did for the body. Later a pair of comprehensive scans in the MRI machine (total time 4 hours, total billing approx 12400 first ride and 21000 second) showed and confirmed actual damage to the respiratory system.

Eisenhower Tunnel above 10,000 feet caused me to quit cold turkey. I ran it again once since and it was no where as bad as it was back in the smoking days.

The problem with gummys is that there is a form of sugar for them. They convert to alcohol.

Google Drunk School Kids with Gummy Bears and you will learn a few things.

nearly everything is cheaper in the PX for any service member.

i had a garage where the price of cigs jumped up to $3.50 per pack in the vending machine. gal across the street said she was gonna quit when the hit $4.00.

must be about 40 years now since i saw her, she's either dead from cancer, or paying the nearly $10 for a pack.

indian reservations sell cheaper too, if you go to thier casinos.

    i smoke an occasional cigar.

for a 5 pack, it costs me $8.15
