What I'm saying is the in house broker agents hide the true rate from the IC's. Say you know for a fact loads going on a certain lane pays $2 bucks, the agent will argue all day long all he has in it is $1 dollar a mile or even $1.35 and say thats all he can pay take it or leave it. Seen it, lived it and got the Tshirt.

I agree with that, IC's don't get breakdown pay or detention pay. I have my own trailer over here, on the few occasions I pulled their trailer sometimes it needed a tire or a light fixed I just simply had to eat that time.

ask them to show you the original bill of lading from the broker. I left a@a at 1.57 a mile and 100 % fsc and 76% of the load. You need to contact broker and verify miles paid

    scottied67 Thanks this.

No, I do dry van on the roadrunner side. Love running terminal to terminal even though it is mileage pay per contract. Absolutely hate working with the broker agents because they offer rates less than what I get on T2T lanes.

The way they do it over here, everything is shielded from the IC. One time I negotiated a load at $1.38 a mile (that's the most she could pay me she swore up and down) with the broker agent over the phone and she emailed me the rate/con showing $1.75. She freaked out because I wasn't supposed to see that, that was the true rate con going to her boss. Once I saw that I got her up to $1.50 and we never worked together again.

You are very fortunate to have your own equipment. Just make sure you take it to the dealer to get service. The shop guys are rude and overpriced at a@a.

Now your felling the broker game pay out. I had a guy tell me "If you get that load in before thanksgiving from John Morel I will give you a 550 bonus. Never seen a penny of it and ran like a crazy man to get it there.

Here is the bottom line... A@A express is only good to you if your last name is "Anderson" everyone else is just expected to roll there equipment and pay, pay, pay all your money to them.
