I'm doing it that way because that's how they want THEIR truck payment. Believe me, it doesn't matter how they want to do it. I don't go home unless I'm financially able.

Allow me to introduce myself, I'm over at Roadrunner so we are like cousin companies, just watching some of the lease op threads. I see a lot of L/O's worried about negative settlements on FB and stuff just trying to get them out of the paycheck to paycheck mentality that the Man seems to want us to be in.

I know. I'll never understand it. It's a partnership. I make money, they make money, I manage my finances and then I go home. It's not rocket science. I'm not trying to break the bank. I work to live, not live to work. The way I intend to approach hometime, is if I have a big settlement, I'll know before hand what I'm making, I'll call the boss, I'll ask him to hold back $X amount for the settlement date of ##/##/2015 to cover my truck payment. At JCT if just let it go negative, and that's fine too. Ultimately, it's on me to manage my finances, to know whether or not I am able financially to shut my doors and spend time with my ohana. Hawaiianthriver, do you know what the primary freight routes are? I live in Missouri and was wondering what load options look like! Primarily east and west (I70 &80) or if its a little bit of everything. Looking to see what you are being offered when you look for your next load.
