Do you have to unload or help unload furniture?
That truck looks really sharp. -
It's 50/50. If I hit a dock, then I downstack and either bring it out myself, or have the warehouse guys help. If a ground drop, then I bring it to the tail for them to offload, or help offload if there's only one person.
Looks like I'll be driving a Volvo condo cab, not a Pete or Freightliner.Dave_in_AZ, KillingTime, x1Heavy and 2 others Thank this. -

I've been hauling sticks for 30 years..
It's a great way to make a living if you don't mind working.
I work just down the street from you at a competitor.
Welcome to the biz -
How much is it paying?
-
Thanks, looking forward to doing something I haven't done before, as far as being on the road instead of home every night. And tossing some furniture around will hopefully get me back in shape a little.IluvCATS, Dave_in_AZ, tucker and 1 other person Thank this.

Weekly pay averages $1,200-$1,600 gross per week. Based on calculations for my area, that means $62,400-$83,200 gross annually, $955-$1,237 net weekly.

Pianos to the 4th floor please. The elevator does not work. Mind that last step it's a lulu. =)
I hauled ethan allen furnatures out of Vermont at the canada border and a couple of seacan loads for hotels inside Ocean City Maryland with imported overseas furnature.
Im just happy letting others deal with the things, I have no appetite for moving them myself.
Best of luck to you. Cat scale those things often.Dave_in_AZ and JReding Thank this.
