All the terminals for the most part are off the highway except for maybe Orlando. To the few I’ve been too.
cooper will tell you what route to take.
Also your boots just need to be PPE boots can be steel toe, aluminum, or that super strong polycarbonate. I’ve driven in crocs LMAO. Just swap into low profile PPE shoes once you get out of the truck to cover your bum. -
Does cooper use a app that you log into and it locates your trailers in the yard? Or is it old school you get the paperwork from linehaul and go search and hunt down your trailers? Lol them crocs are the ugliest shoes ive ever seen in my life lol are they really that comfortable?
Ohh okay im good i have some reinforced boots that should be good enough too hook up in..
Also im glad cooper has the routes planned out.. fedex ground does too but there direction arent detailed enough and a few routes they want you too take all back country roads which i never do but im not hauling hazmat either at the moment.
Sounds like cooper is pretty detailed though and have thought most everything through throughly i like that. -
Hey so good news.. i called the south Atlanta or ellenwood terminal and asked too speak too the terminal manager named brian Spurlock. He was very nice and helpful manager he said they currently filled all the team positions at the moment but thinks one is opening up very soon..
Then proceeded too basically say yeah you know what when am i available too interview and i told him next Friday because im going out on a wild run for fedex ground on Sunday cant say when ill be back but i create my own schedule anyways. I told him aim for Friday if i get delayed ill email and let him know he said no problem he will be available the following Monday if i cant make it next Friday
He wanted me too.go interview today if i was available and i would have went in a heartbeat but its my wifes bday today and we already made plans unfortunately he was super understanding and just seemed like a manager i could definitely deal with and have no issues which is rare as you know now and days.
Now idk if im gunna accept the job or not im feeling more so that i will and its almost 100% i will.. i just have too figure out my pet situation.. my neighbors offered too help.so im gunna run it buy them again.. but i might have a temporary college student in my neighborhood whos available too check on our cat while shes off for summer vacation from school.
The less i have too involve my neighbors the better i dont wanna put the burden on them. So i think it will somehow work itself out and he said all they have is bid runs or dedicated as i call it most the runs are 6k miles or very close so i think there isnt much too complain about just keep my mouth shut go too work.do my job collect a nice paycheck and just enjoy life and no stress worry free..
Im not gunna get overly excited or anything but i will say you have been a great deal.of help and i wanna thank you sincerely. Ill definitely keep you informed on our decision and our journey if we choose AAA COOPER IF YOU WANT ME TOO. IF NOT I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND AND WONT TAKE ANYMORE OF YOUR TIME. -
Just an FYI there’s three terminals in Atlanta. Check to see if north Atlanta is hiring, and I can’t recall the third ones name. It’s not really in Atlanta, but they say it is - it’s on an outskirts of the city.

Yes i seen there are 3 terminals in or near the Atlanta region. I applied for the south Atlanta terminal which i heard there are two terminals innsouth Atlanta i also heard those are some of the bigger major hubs at Aaa cooper.. he basically said that he has an opening that he will hold it for us.. if that fails ill definitely call the other two terminals near there.. thanks for the info its very helpful . Calling the terminals and asking for the terminals manager definitely helped a ton.. -
Does anyone here work for rl carriers? I start orientation for linehual on 10/30 for the Jacksonville, Fl terminal and was wondering if any one has any experience with them. Also do their cameras face inside as well? Didn’t really ask any of that when I went to the interview lol
