There's an abandoned trainee sleeping on the floor of the drivers lounge in the TA with all his worldly possessions.
My advice to all trainees is that when you have 0 money, and you are an adult, it's time to buck up soldier.
Lest you be begging at a truck stop.

Don't know what the issue could be. But if the trainee was a clear and present safety issue or a danger because of his behavior.....time to go. I dont agree with ejecting someone at a truck stop, but we don't have the facts. Threatening the trainer, crazy behavior....who knows. However, the company should at least provide a bus ticket and a way back home.....providing the trainee had a home to begin with.

So the trainer or the company didn't have the decency to get this guy home. If only people could put themselves in others shoes, just for a few minutes sometimes.

There have been documented cases of trainees assaulting their trainers...and in a few cases shooting of stabbing them. Illegal substances....who knows. The trainer does not have the background on the trainee like the company has. It would have to be an extreme circumstance to eject a trainee. Like I said....we don't have all the details.

Call the Law, and they will put him up or take him to the city line and tell him to proceed down the road. That's how we do it here. There are some resources but not very much and are usually protected for the good and benefit of abused women, kids and so on who have a greater need of it.
Im sorry that this trainee, make that ex trainee is sleeping on that floor (Ick....) but something bad happened to warrant that kind of behavior from trainer. And chances are, he wont be back a while. Trainee needs to do some fast thinking and resolve this problem before someone comes to collect him for vagrancy and public disturbance at the very least.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.
