Hi there, So 1996 peterbilt and im having trouble with the hvac blower speeds, Speeds 2 and 3 work, however speeds 1 and 4 do not work. I have changed the resistor, tried another blower motor, swapped fuses but its all the same it does not work. Anyone have any idea what is going on ? THanks

    Possibly the control head?

Then I’d be pretty happy with ‘speed 3’

If you can get up in there (in the first picture) and clear as much crud off that coil - it’ll help. Also coil cleaner for AC units.

When I replaced mine it was just plum nasty. The connection at the firewall broke which led to a new condenser (evaporator?) .

Also, shut off valves on coolant to the unit for summer helps.

I buy those filters 10 at a time and change them out. Must be an ex trucker, it’s the first company I ever dealt with that sent out the product with an invoice for payment. Like - no credit card. Just send it and trust you pay.

    Hope this helps.

Probably the climate control. It used to be $600, have no idea what it costs.

Dash switch? Not familiar with your Truck, usually you can find the hot on the plug, jump others, see if all speeds work or not. At least rule out the switch.

Probably the switch as R&R mentioned or the connection to the switch

The older lever style switches liked to melt the connector, not sure if the rotary switch is the same

Have to mark that down. The only other company I ever dealt with that did that makes fertilizer side dump trailers. The lady said my boss gives credit to everyone. At least once. I was Johnny on the spot the send a check.
