Last night a PA state trooper called me on my cell.
He told me I was involved in a minor accident on I-380, that something from my truck had hit the car behind me. Probably debris from the road.
Funny how things coincide, right?
He needed some info from me to complete his report, my CDL number and DOB.
No big deal, and there is no insurance claim against my company and no citations issued.
If something did hit that persons car that did not come from the truck or trailer it is no fault to the driver.
Stuff happens.
And with people following so closely that anything tossed up from a trailer tire will hit their vehicle, well, I think it is their own fault.Odin's Rabid Dog Thanks this. -
Yes indeedy.
Most places in USA pretty much quit processing film, but I think some cameras are digital now cheap enough to do it.
The one rule with those disposables is no gore. Safety does not need to see that. Otherwise shoot everything in the #### thing. It will either save you or gullitone you.
I am a camera essentially. If I don't already have real time video as it happened I'll create a stack of them fast enough. We are way past those old time disposables now.James j and Fredterbert6666 Thank this. -
You sure it was actually a cop and not one of those scam phone calls? I got a scam call saying they found blood in a car at a crime scene and that my SSN was registered to the car. I messed with them a little, they were furious when they found out I was just wasting their time and wasnt gonna send them 500$ to "get rid of the warrant" lolFlaSwampRat, Odin's Rabid Dog, D.Tibbitt and 1 other person Thank this.

I would be suspect of a phone call such as that.
But that’s just me...FlaSwampRat, D.Tibbitt and Coffey Thank this. -
Did he call you or did you call him? Anyone calling me whom I don't know is highly suspect. I got a call last week that I am entitled to a multi-thousand dollar settlement from a Swift class action lawsuit. I just let it go to voicemail.Last edited: Nov 28, 2019

Since all he wanted was verification of my drivers license number and date of birth it really didn't concern me that much. No SSN or address or other info was asked for, and no question of paying anything.
The call was very professional, and I have had scam calls before.
And I was in eastern PA during that time.
Even if the call was being recorded, I did not admit to anything that could have caused the 'minor accident'.
I am as paranoid as you all are, but I didn't feel that way with this call.
Time will tell, I guess. -
If they cant prove u was there , they dont need any info as far as im concerned. U tell them info thats when they try to pin something else on u.
"Driver, we are calling because a motorist said something came off your truck and broke their windshield"
"Okay?"
"Were you in such and such area last night at this time?"
"Dont remember"
"Well the motorist is pretty adament that it was YOUR truck that debris came off of and broke the windshield "
"Do they have video proof?"
"No, just a verbal complaint."
"Okay, have a good night officer"

Well, my truck is tracked. It is on record where I am at any given time.
My word has nothing to do with it.D.Tibbitt, G13Tomcat and Odin's Rabid Dog Thank this.
