Hi all. I'm wondering what would happen in this situation. I emptied at a customer and pulled from dock with both doors open. Got to gate, both security guard and I looked in and saw nothing.

Brought trailer to my drop and picked up another..Scanned bills and rolled on.
It seems that im told 80 pallets of veggies were left on the trailer at the drop. I was sure nothing was in there, but after re-reviewing the bills, it was true on paper.

What would be the punishment on this as it was my first load snafu?

Thanks for the other great info also.

What paperwork or bills are you referring to? When you got unloaded at the customer, didn't you get a bill of laden signed by the customer that he received what was on the bill? You are confusing me,.

    always walk your trailer.

looking for damage, product left on ,ect.

if you can't get in to dock area, pull up a few feet and walk it.

if they won't it off, dump it there somewhere.

Since the product is rejected, the world will not end, but i'm sure you will be having a conversation with someone. The next driver in to that receiver might not be happy if he has to deal with it.

Fall on your sword, tell them it won't happen again.

Sometimes rejected product has to go back to shipper, other times it gets donated or sold to a different vendor. Just depends on what the customer wants.

Expect a figurative slap to the back of the head.
