38K rears seem pretty light to me. Maybe get a 48’ spread flat and look for some light stuff. Do you know what it has for gears?

    cke Thanks this.

They'll hold up just fine for legal loads. Lots of trucks used to be spec'd with 34k rears years ago

This is a flatbed truck. It already has a headache rack.

If you were originally planning to pull dry van or reefer the specs on the truck are not ideal.

A 12k lb front axle is way too low and having minimal aerodynamics will definitely kill your fuel mileage.

With the high fuel prices the way they are, the ideal purchase would’ve been a Condo sleeper instead.

    Bean Jr. Thanks this.

    I run 100k+ with a 12 front…. But I never get more then 11020 on it

really all depends on what he was planning to do with that oversized day cab

You’ll be fine with lighter near legal loads but heavy loads may slow you down.

Make sure you have money ($20k) for repairs.

plan on new rubber too, it appears to be retreads.

I would get a dyno and blowby done as soon as you get your hands on it, OA on all fluids to baseline your future OAs, and get an ecm dump, full one.

Bean Jr., Brettj3876 and Siinman Thank this.
