Instead of trying to ruin a conversation with repeated screams of no no no no and related messes why don't you try to articulate properly your position and why you are feeling strongly about whatever it is that upset you so much.Chubby Fly, lsnook24 and Sirscrapntruckalot Thank this. -

Some of these comments are, to say the least, "interesting". In the end, a trucker is a trucker no matter if they are operating an auto-shift or not. It's really in the end much ado about nothing. Auto-shifts have their good points and they have their bad points. I'm going to agree with post #7 in one regard. I do think it is a mistake to test in an auto-shift and have that restriction. It can limit your final job choices. This job is tough enough as it is too continue to add time bombs like this. I have had more than one conversation with a driver that comes to regret that dang restriction on their CDL. Again, it's perfectly OK to operate an auto-shift. I did it for several years. I just highly recommend testing in a manual if you can.
I'm also going to say there is a huge difference between "fear" and a healthy "respect" for this job. Fear can kill. Fear can paralyze in a time when you should be thinking. -
