Same with me. I jumped around. For like, 3 years. Kept leaving due to breakdowns & pay issues. Also some lies. Mostly breakdowns. Lots of garbage on the road these days. Always having issues Tires. Lights. Air lines. DEF system. At one point I was thinking "Am I gonna be able to know how to take care of a truck? If I become an owner operator?"

All that worrying I did, for nothing. Been owner operator for about a month now. Leased on. So far I've done 2 oil changes, flushed the coolant, replaced air filter, belts, and upgraded the headlights.

I'm a young gun. 24. But I take pride in this. Kept looking for that one job with an owner that needs a truck ran and kept well. No luck for me tho. Purchased my own back in August. I've been running it since October. 1995 FLD running better than any one of the '12 '13 trucks that I drove working for others....

Most of these “owners” want someone to work for free. I had one that wouldn’t pay me to drive back from a job site unless I was loaded. I am driving your pos and not getting paid. Yea I don’t think so.
