Your husband can request a team shower for his shower credit, and you will both get your own shower room. Or the two of you can shower together, but some truck stop shower rooms are quite small.
At least some post offices offer a service where you can provide their physical address rather than your P.O. box, and they will route your incoming main to your P.O. box. This should satisfy most annoying people that don't want to send your mail to a P.O. box. Just don't tell them that you are giving them the address of a post office. I know my local post office offers this service.
If you run OTR, you want to keep at least a couple days food and water in the truck, and try to avoid going below a quarter tank of fuel. That way if you do get stuck somewhere, you can go a couple days without having to be worried about heat, cold, food or drink.
Military MRE's are a good choice for small, dense, high calorie foods that most people won't be tempted to snack on. You can get them in quite a few places. They apparently last pretty much forever. And they also contain chemical heaters to warm the food.tscottme Thanks this. -
Nobody ' has to have the real id' -
I’m not going to continue replying, and taking this thread off track, but it irks me when an argumentative person such as yourself refuses to do basic research, and tells me I’m wrong.
Anyone that has followed this exchange will hopefully not take your word on the subject, and, as I have suggested, research it themselves by going to various state websites (that are currently in full compliance with REAL ID requirements). -
If you don't want a real ID your licence will be noted on top NOT FOR FREDRAL USE weather it's a commercial or regular.
By the way even on Homeland security website under REAL ID does not Apply to the following you'll find the answer. -
Police "so what happened?"
"Man,I don't know, I came back out to the truck,And She and her stuff were Gone,She wont take my calls"
To the OP.......I Know you guys are behind on medical Bills.....Keep your Home. Nothing keeps sanity in place than a Home.
After a bit of time of being shacked up together in a truck-Don't care who you are- It always turns out bad. -
I spent 8 months with my wife as a passenger. It did not turn out bad, she got off the truck so I could start training, since she did not care to get her cdl. We spent that entire time without a home. My wife loved riding along. There were times when I had to send her in the back with the curtains closed for a while, but we always worked it out in the end.
Lepton1, Chinatown and driverdriver Thank this. -
This is the place I use. It'll cost ya more than a po box but they provide a little more. They email me photos of my mail so I can tell them to shred, save, or forward. They accept and hold packages that won't deliver to po boxes. Assist with vehicle and voter registration etc.
tscottme, Lepton1, Need4Speed and 2 others Thank this. -

Some really good info on this thread. But won't he have to get his Cdl in whichever state he uses for address? Are there lots of opportunities for drivers from, say South Dakota? If the IRS audits will they question why home Time was seldom or never taken in South Dakota? Inquiring minds want to know...
hoosiergirl and Lepton1 Thank this.
