    I just watch my restriction guage. If it gets in the red replace the filters. If you dont have a guage in the dash get one for the tube under the hood.

    I swapped out the ‘Farr Company’ enclosed filters on the 379 for Vortox 13” cans.

    This way I could put Fleet Air filters in. Wash and oil every 30,000 miles, about twice a year. Restriction guage barely moves at 40lbs boost.

    IMO - unrestricted airflow is critical to optimal engine performance. Should be top of your maintenance/upgrade list.
