No, it is peeling because it is an old paint job. It is a 94 model 379, the clear coat was peeling when I got it last year. Not as bad as when it went from the desert to the humidity. Once the clear coat is breached and moisture gets underneath it it balloons. So I’m not blaming humidity for starting it I’m saying it made it worst.
QUOTE="rollin coal, post: 11349931, member: 15779"]Humidity isn't why your clear peeled up. It peeled up because it's a bad paint job. I bought a brand new Dodge Ram in 2006 and have probably washed that truck a half dozen times since I've bought it and waxed it once. It has sat in direct sunlight and weather, Tennessee humidity for all of its life and the clear coat is not peeling. You'll need to go see them and tell them what you want and they'll tell you what it cost.[/QUOTE]

Hmmm, y'all got me thinking now how it would look to take the hood mirrors off our little truck and put air horns in their place.

Ok gotcha. I had an insurance job done once on my T600 hood back in 2010. MHC Kenworth body shop in Nashville repainted the whole hood. They did a terrible job and I wouldn't recommend them to rattle can your kid's go cart. The clear was bubbling up and peeling off in sheets in a matter of months. Very shoddy.Vampire, blairandgretchen, staceydude and 1 other person Thank this. -

That is a big fear of mine is shelling out the cash to paint this thing and 6 months later it looks like garbage or worst yet it is one of those obviously horrible repaint jobs that are all shiny and orange peeled lol. A lot of money to throw away.
That place you recommended looks solid and they do some nice work.
