The one that's giving me trouble now is a Trico. I've had it all apart and it seems to use batten instead of O rings.

Sprague Air Push would be the go then. You can still get them new as far as I know. I could ring up later and find the price.

Most of today's driver mill graduates would have no clue what you're talking about...

I'm surprised they still sell replacements. They fixed the air assist steering for the last time when I was there. They said when it goes out the next time, junk the truck because they couldn't get parts, and the cylinder and piston parts were just about worn beyond repair. But it was a '74 R model Mack with 3.2 mil on the clock, and pulling a forklift trailer for a chicken plant.

They still sell replacement motors for the air wipers, but be ready to pay the piper. Last time I did one was anout 240.00 exchange per motor. Say what you want about electric, but I have been driving since 1979, and don't miss the noise at all. They make an electric conversion kit, and I out it on an old truck, and loved it.

The price of two air motors and you can replace the whole thing.
Two separate motors, so if Driver side goes out you can swap fast until you get a new one.

I did the electric wiper conversion on my 359. Got it from Ebay. Money well spent in my opinion!! Wipers park to the center and STAY there!!

    Hijack and revival time!

Wanting to upgrade my W900's air wipers to electric. I see kits online that range from $600-$900. Anyone know if they are a direct bolt on replacement or if a guy's gotta do some custom fabrication?

I had to open the holes up a little on my 359. but other than that... It's pretty much straight forward with the instructions..
