Got a load to WA! Going 90 through MT into WA, been searching through forum for info on chains but didn't find what I was looking for.
Where can I get chains off 90 in MT? Only need them for WA and OR. Won't chain just need them Incase "they" ask to see em. Weather looking good for next week but who knows till then. Should I roll without? Chance it?
Will probably want to drop off chains in Cali.

Stop at any of the dealers through any of the towns. Might be able to get em cheaper. My last company always bought em from Freightliner.

Maybe not dealers. But the repair shops. I know there's a KW in missoula.

Google maps isn't showing anything along that route.

Some companies have "chain banks" located at spots where drivers can stop and pickup the required number of chains when going into the "required carry" areas. They then drop them off at another "chain bank" when they leave the area.
These are only available to the specific companies. Not just any driver.
You will need to "Purchase" chains to meet the required number of chains and they are yours. You might find someone who needs chains you can sell them to when you leave the area, but thats the chance you take.

Usually I Stay Away from places needing chains, but I guess that's Your Decision. The few times I've found myself in that situation, I'm like, What the Hell Have I gotten myself into?

Rollr4872 and Bean Jr. Thank this.

Thx for your replies. Turned out my yard had some and I got 5 pairs. They were in a barrel in a shed outside. I was delivering not too far away so I swung in and snagged em. Just need em to snuff the rooster houses if they ask. I just pray to Jesus Christ everything goes well and deny my makeup.
