The 2016 stuff won’t hurt. What happened in 2022?
Flat Earth Trucker Thanks this. -

That +20 would have really hurt, but it’s nearly 8 years old.MACK E-6, Flat Earth Trucker, Opus and 2 others Thank this. -
Before investing time or money it might be a good idea to call some carriers and talk to them. Be honest about everything because they will find out if you apply. Ask them if you’re hirable. If more than 5 say you are go to school. If only 1 or 2 say yes ask if they have a program that pays for training. You’ll be a slave to them for 2-3 years, but it will be that long before anyone will make you a better offer so at least your school is free or at a reduced cost.
Whatever you do don’t rely on a CDL school’s answer. They’ll probably tell you that you are since it won’t stop you from getting a learning permit which is the only thing you need in addition to a clean urinalysis to attend school.Gearjammin' Penguin Thanks this. -
Back when I first drove, the answer would be no, you won't be able to find a job. Today, however, you probably will, although not with a 'good' company. Unless you have some sort of all-encompassing desire to drive, I'd suggest that maybe you'll be better off in some job where your awful driving record is NOT a hinderance. If you STILL want to drive, consider that if you continue to get citations, your career will be really short. Consider taking a job in something like hauling garbage or gravel, and stick with it WITHOUT GETTING ANY TICKETS for a couple of year before trying for something better.

I don't think it's impossible, but it may be challenging. You may have to wait another year if you can't get a hit. Remember one thing, it's never a waste of money to get a CDL. Just keep yourself out of trouble and you'll be ok.

Yes, you’ll be wasting your time. I don’t intend this to sound crass, just being straight up with you. You have clearly demonstrated you are an unsafe driver. What does that mean in terms of being a commercial driver?
For argument’s sake, let’s assume someone will hire you. A couple of speeding tickets and you’ll be fired. A fender bender or two and you’ll be fired. Do you have any idea what will happen when you rear end someone while driving a big truck? If you’re lucky, it’s at low speed and you don’t hurt anyone. Then, you simply get fired. If you hurt someone? You’re going to prison and you, the company you drive and anyone else the lawyers can think off will get sued.
Seriously, do yourself a favor and go to a vocational school and learn how to weld, be a plumber or electrician, etc… But, commercial truck driving isn’t for you. Maybe, it will be when you’re older and more disciplined in your driving.homeskillet, Gearjammin' Penguin, dosgatos and 1 other person Thank this. -
