You would think. One company I worked for had ambient sensors. Above the threshold it would die unless you overrode it. Below...sometimes it would do it automatically and sometimes it wouldn't. On ours though we could simply unplug the sensors and disable the whole system.

Had my tractor shut down twice on Snoqualmie pass in a traffic jam. Got a 2013 Cascadia, can't figure out a way around it. Hell, bunk heater won't even work in the morning when the batteries are low. This blows. It's turning in to a safety issue.

Do all SNIs new trucks have no-idle heat AND air, or just heat?
-
All trucks have bunk heaters. About 100 have ac battery units.

This is the kicker. With out option idle can't charge battery. Yes we already know this. But with the new trucks there more battery used at night. That is why they tell u to turn the key to accessory postion at night. So you override the battery cut of.

Oh yeah, and EFF the sensors. I'm SO going to brag about my APU here when I get it, lol.

I could see maybe 38-74 knowing that if it is too cold and your engine is still hot it may take a while for the engine heat to stop interfering with the sensor.
20 degrees seems cruel.
I have had to help the sensor along in the past. When it was off by about 10 degrees due to engine heat .
Hopefully schn has placed it just below the grill for easy access. -
Its mounted back by the fifth wheel away from engine and road heat.
