Even though I took 6.5 days off in the shortest month of the year, I still managed to make Diamond level on my Love's card...mostly because I didn't fuel anywhere but Love's all month long.

And I have said this before, and it is still true, one of the reasons I like open deck freight is because of the customers. I called my delivery this morning to verify that they have no problem with me delivering this tomorrow instead of Wednesday or Thursday, and they said no problem what so ever, we open at 6...how many of ya'll that pull a box around remember the last time you heard that kind of a reply when you call a customer?

Shoot, if it were me, and that was an option, I would work from home more often rather than face that traffic twice a day. The last bunch of times I came down that pass before dawn, it was backed up from top to bottom.

That’s why I pull tankers. Oil distributors are not only customers, some of them have become friends. Oh there’s still a hint of the box world at some chemical plants but absolutely nothing like I experienced dealing with the low life miserable trash at van/reefer customers.

I couldn’t hack it as a flat bedder or open decker. I’m sure glad I started pulling tanks a decade ago, life’s just better when the worst part of the day is a little whiplash from the surge.

About the only time I pay attention to delivery dates is elevators and ovens. Pretty much everything else is if they are open I show up and get unloaded.
    Yeah, “work”. Okay ;)

I'm not gonna say a word...some of my best, and most interesting runs come out of that area...I don't want to jinx that.

I'm sorry, we are no longer SPD...we are SPD 2.0(or Wylie Jr. if you prefer)....just like an operating system on a computer, we are ALL NEW, with the help of Wylie All Mighty...only the memory of the old SPD remains...everything is different now that they aren't running things ;)...Besides, bullying and intimidating are how Wylie does things, maybe he's just trying to fit in...

    welcome to the new normal!

I was told “our” new trailers don’t follow spd’s numbering scheme, they are numbered like Wylie trailers. Someone told me they are pulling FBxxxx, in our system they should be 53fbxxxx.
