Here is what my logs look like this morning

    The truck's unit shows this

    IMG_20240227_051152.jpg

    The online portal shows this

    Screenshot_2024-02-27-05-09-07-667.jpg

This was with the ecm and gateway connected. The portal is correct, my dash unit is making things up...I am so close to sending my screenshots in to the FMCSA and filing a complaint about being forced to use such defective equipment. SPD and Daseke don't seem to give a crap about their ELD malfunctions.

    -update
After 2 reboots, my truck's unit fixed itself. Drivers here need to start bombarding Drew with the problems these units are having. Perhaps if he gets overwhelmed with issues he might actually seek out higher authority to look into it. Every time I send him it's f'ups he brushes it off like it's no big deal.

Have you talked to anyone in safety besides Drew? Ask to talk to MH and explain to him how you logs are wrong. All the other stuff was minor but this is not acceptable.

Not yet, I didn't want it to seem like I was throwing Drew under the bus. I get along with him and he has always been fair to deal with when it comes to the camera crap, I didn't want to screw that up.

In a way, today's glitch was related to the regular one I have. When I looked at the other part of the logs (where it shows the descriptions) most of it had "no location found". After the 2nd reboot everything came back to normal.

I spoke to a fairly new driver(to SPD) in Rancho the other day. He said it sometimes takes up to a minute or so once he hits a button to change status for it to change.

I do believe that I will have to move up the chain of command to get anything done with this Samsara problem. Drew is pretty much useless in this case. He is still trying to blame the location snafu on the truck not having cell signal, but can't explain why, when doing a post trip, off duty then sleeper why it finds the right location 2 out of the 3 status changes. He then trys to convince me that "the DOT is use to these issues and won't write a ticket for a violation when it does that" which is total horse crap. When I said that it fixes itself when I reboot, he said from now on he wants me to do a sign off, reboot, and sign back on as part of my pretrip every morning...#### that, because half the time I reboot, I have to re-enter my trip number. I swear, it would be easier to find another job that doesn't use Samsara than have to go thru all this b.s just to make this garbage equipment, that none of us want, function correctly. All because they don't want to have to force Samsara to remedy they're software, it is easier to screw with the driver, after all, we're a dime a dozen.

I have zero issues with Samsara. I don’t use a company issued tablet, I just use the app. I’ve never heard of any of our drivers having issues with their tablets.
