Maybe he was digging a hole in China and he overshot his target depth and popped up here :)

I am working on the wrong side of this industry. $425 labor to install a starter that I provided!!!! If I had the right set of tools and my own tax ID#, I would have only charged them $250. I am #### glad I don't own my own truck anymore.

I said this exact same thing earlier this week. My wonderful automatic pooped the bed and they had to drop the transmission and give it new clutch plates and then sync the transmission with the clutch.

Sounds like you’re sick of this ####. Maybe even sick enough to qualify for a sick day pay? You can get up to 14 hours of pay at your hourly rate (1250/40). If you quit WA state does not require SPD to pay out your earned sick pay time.

    Lonesome and dwells40 Thank this.

Sorry I know it sucks I ended up moving out of my T680 due to the injector issues and ended up in a Western Star 57x. After 8 days in hotels in two different states I know what you mean about loosing revenue.

Maybe now I can finally start rolling properly, and since it’s the end of summer freight is going to only get more scarce.

After rereading the paperwork they sent about the new pay package, I saw that they pay layover for any wait time over 24 hours due to a lack of a load. So, I had my FM put me in for a layover day.

On a positive note, the Love's in Holland MI had my new starter on by 10 pm, so no breakdown pay. Since I'll get one day of layover pay, putting in for 8 hours of sick pay would look suspicious, so I'll just save my sick pay for my next hometime to extend my under paid vacation pay since I am planning on seeing my doctor for a new physical, and I am planning on going to the orthodontist to have a couple chunks of teeth removed that have pushed thru my gums and get a new set of teeth made...since both are medical visits, they'll be legitimate sick days.
