Almost all the new paccar trucks love coolant. It’s not going in the oil on these, at least not visibly. We think it’s being burned in the exhaust.

Paccar motors are infamous for having emissions issues including EGR and DEF leaks. Not as bad as the old Maxxfarce engines. They were having worse issues back before my time at Magnum.

Maybe truck manufacturers are taking inspiration from the 4.6 Northstar. Those always has an affinity for mixing coolant and oil

Well good news they solved the leaks…and ruined the injectors…Iguess that’s progress.

I spoke to one of our drivers in Arlington. He amassed a whopping 37,000 miles on one of our new trucks before he had major injector issues. He said he's been out of his truck for more than a month driving a loaner waiting on his truck repairs.

Got a load. Deadheading from Memphis to Rock Hill to pick up another Genie load, 2 stops going to FL. The bad side is, I don't have enough hours to make it to the deliveries by Friday evening, so I will have to deliver 1st thing Monday. But the positive is, I will have miles to go along with the 2 sick days I put in for next week, so that will make it a little more bearable for the transition to weekly pay.

The one thing I can say about SPD, with all the aggravating changes our parent company (or companies now) have forced on us, getting home for hometime has always been the bright spot. Even living in FL, they have always bent over backwards to get me home when I ask.

EquipmentShare. Their location was actually closer to Scott City, off the same exit as Ron Pratt's Midwest Truck (the YouTube towing and recovery guy).

FCC is ditching a bunch of T680’s because of that reason. Sad because i fit in those a hell of a lot better than these Cascadia’s . And with Volvo and especially Freightliner having brand new designs with brand new technologies in them, and probably higher prices to boot, the higher ups are understandably skeptical with placing any large orders for trucks next year

Why so many companies spec Paccar motors over Cummins when they’re known for being problematic is beyond my comprehension. Even if the Cummins motor is more expensive, that’s more than negated by all the issues with these Paccar motors
