One of these things is not like the other. Not my loads but two 18’ wide dump beds. IMG_8489.jpeg

I was running US-56 in OK one day when a trooper stopped me and basically made me pull into some field to get out of the way of one of those

    Channeling my inner @supersnackbar.
Called the shipper to confirm loading time of 0700. “Oh yeah we start at 0600 just come in and flag down a forklift and we will get you loaded. Should be a quick chain and go load.” I arrived at 0700 to a non English speaker blocking the gate, sound asleep. Another one pulled in behind me. We all get staged at 7:15 and they come and tell us “everyone is in a meeting until 8:30. They can’t load us until they get paperwork from the office people.”

cool! Awesome! It’s not like I have to be 300 miles away with a pilot car by 3pm or anything.

^That guy needs to take a Midol or something. I was loaded by 10 and made it through Denver just fine. Us 285 is a ######## route at 106’ long. IMG_8493.jpeg

I honestly don't miss that kind of stuff one bit(or at least the smaller OD stuff I used to haul). So glad I waved bye-bye.

    Friend and Oxbow Thank this.

I’m just here for the money, the glory, and the fun. Mostly for the money. That load pays $1.02 per mile.

Is this how the other half lives? If so, yuck, no thanks! First legal load since June (not counting my empty wing trailer returns), and only the 5th one this year. Brought this load of empty carts from texas after another driver reassigned to something more important. Unload and reload right in the same dock for a big mile load, 44 miles. IMG_8572.jpeg

Just been running wings more or less since my last update. I did haul
These two Lonestar loads out to New Mexico. 78’ pipe rack and a 50k pound can generator to the same job site. IMG_8508.jpeg IMG_8507.jpeg IMG_8491.jpeg

The changes keep coming around here but so far it’s nothing to run any of us off.

Since you're an open deck driver, how many pull ups did it take to get you backed in that dock? ( :p )

None! Because I could back stright into the dock, it’s all about the setup. Now i did stop several times so I didn’t bump the dock too hard.

Knucklehead, MACK E-6 and navypoppop Thank this.
